Penguins or Polar Bears play in a Winter Wonderland

Good morning to you all out there in the land of blog
Today sees the knew challenge at

but as always I cannot move on with out saying how stunning the creations were in the last challenge, really enjoyed hopping about to see them all

The theme this week has been chosen by our very talented Marianne, who is hosting this weeks challenge

and it is

Penguins or Polar Bears

We have two sponsors this week for our one winner and they are

The Amazing Hobby House

with this stunning gift
and
who are offering three of their fabulous digi images

wow Christmas is coming early for one of our lucky entrants.

I really enjoyed this theme and here is what I created for my Design Team Inspirational piece
Don't they look like they are having fun?  This card template is great for making a scene.  I used a Penny Black stamp on both acetate and my colouring paper.  I added a red pearlised paper to frame these delish GCD Studio papers.  I added some lace and over the top of this some ribbon I bought recently.  I added a velum quote.  The nesties used for the circles and scallops and the paper penguins cut out individually where as the group together on the acetate remain intact.  I used my Swiss dots embossing folder to create the snow behind the main image and liquid appliqué for the fluffy bits.  The tree at the back I am not sure where the stamp is from but I decorated this with some pearls and a star.

Here is some close ups

I am entering this card into the following challenges
One Stop Craft - Xmas Cuties
CYDA - Texture
Totally Gorjuss - oh Xmas Tree
Lots to do - embossing
Shabby Tea Room - Get in Shape
Penny Black Allsorts - Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
ABC Christmas - Y = Yuletide
Wild Orchid - Old Fashioned Christmas - it does not get any better than carol singers, oh alright they might be penguins :) we do not get many carol singers these days, which is a shame

don't forget to pop over and check out the my teamies great creations too

thank you to all my wonderful visitors who take the time to leave me such wonderful and inspiring comments,  I love them all
