Strawberries and Cream Baubles for A Winter Wonderland DT Christmas Card

Good morning to you all out there in blog land.
Today I am really excited, it is my turn to host this weeks challenge at Winter Wonderland and the theme this week is Strawberries and Cream, have you been enjoying the Tennis?
Now you can interpret this any way you wish. You could use the photo inspirational colours or papers related, the choice is yours.
We are sponsored this week by

who are providing a $15 certificate for the lucky winner to spend in their fabulous shop.
Do I have to say more, other than I wish I could enter as I love shopping here.

I took this theme quite literally again, I like to try and show other ways that the challenge themes can be interpreted.  This one I thoroughly enjoyed, although it was Avril's original challenge and really I am only babysitting for her, but still enjoying the opportunity.

So here is my card
Like I said literally.  The base card is foil red, with the lovely designer paper on top.  The frame is a nestie put through the cuttle bug in the red foil again.  I then added the ribbon by threading it through the frame holes, and backed this to hold in place and show of the image with the holly embossing folder.  I used the heart die's and the cuttle bug again to cut out some red foil hearts (for my purposes red strawberries).  I used three different sizes and then ran them through the cuttle bug again using the Swiss dots embossing folder, so now spotty hearts.  I used some gold stickles glitter to blob on top of each of the embossed dots and added a couple of leaves to the top of each heart for the stalks.  Strawberries dealt with.  Now for the cream.  I wanted the cream to be snow but dripping snow.  So I drizzled the liquid applique over the strawberry and then let it do it's stuff heating it to make the cream.  I used craft wire in gold to make the bauble hanger and twisted this around a tent peg to make that lovely coil shape.  I hid the top of the hanger with branch leaves also covered in the same cream effect.  I used silicone glue to add the depth and movement in the Xmas Tree branches.  At the bottom of the ribbon I added a bow and below the bow I added a little cat bell that I used my copics to colour red to match the red foil paper.  I let the same dripping cream run over these.  A computer generated sentiment finished the effect. I really really really enjoyed doing this card.  I hope you like it.

Well Mr Blogger will kindly post this for me as I will be working hard in the heat again.  However I will link to the following challenges when I get home after work and the obligatory food shopping.

Stampavie and more Challenge - Hearts (I might be pushing my look but there are hearts under the cream and they may be baubles now but they did start out as hearts)
