Posh Spice meets Mother's Day

Good evening to you all in the land of blog
this evening I would like to show you another Mother's Day creation.  I decided to try a card style I have not done for a while which is a tent card.  I like these as the aperture allows you to see the pretty designer paper inside and allows me to use my creative flair as you will see.  I created one of these similar last year and the person who bought it said their mum really loved it, so felt another was in order for an order this year.

So here it is
The base card and complimentary colour is a deep orange/yellow.  The papers are a new stack from Grimsby Crafts, all in lovely bright yellows :)  doesn't it make you feel warm.  I cut an aperture out of the card with my grand nestie circle and my grand callibur and then out of the papers, layering them all up carefully, I then cut out a grand scallop circle placing the grand plain circle inside to cut out the centre to create a fancy frame for the aperture.  I added the lace to the designer paper and then layered this onto the base layer.  I carefully placed the aperture frame over the hole and then placed the little cut out Maggie on the frame.  I then used some beads to run around the inner rim.  I placed a lovely large fluffy orange feather behind her and then coloured up some large pearls with my orange copic and added these to the lace.  Adding the sentiment last.  The inner has the same lovely papers and the back has the inner sentiment and writing area.

I am entering this into the following challenges
Papertake Weekly - Lemon Zingy
Colour Q - photo inspiration
Delicious Doodles - Make the card you would like to receive
Wags N Whiskers - use more than one fold (tent card)

Thank you to all my wonderful visitors who take the time to leave me such lovely comments

Hugs Kate
