Good morning to you all in the land of blog
Yesterday was not as nice as I had hoped it would be weather wise, but at least it ignored the weather forecast and did not rain, and this morning is looking good so far................................
So yesterday morning I decided to kill the Spring Clean in the Upper half of my house, this meant firstly running up and down the spiral stair case several times with all the cleaning materials and the hoover etc. and secondly passing the Beach Hut (my craft room) several times too and not only that I had to go in the Beach Hut and not craft............................can you imagine, hoovering, cleaning, dusting and not being able to play!!!!!!! what a killer.................................
Once I had killed myself off I needed several glasses of juice to pick myself back up.............. to prepare myself for the afternoon visitor. It was lovely to see her and her new little bump, but my is she small for 5 and a half months...................... we had a lovely chat and catch up as you do...............before I then needed to take my little girl to the vets. Luckily the vet said the nasty lump only needed horse tablets for a week and another visit to see him in a months time, fingers crossed the tablets will do the job.
Yesterday evening I finally managed to finish off the re labelling and sorting of my copic collection..................me thinks I need a larger storage unit again, but have only just got this one, only room for I would say another 10 pens at the most and that would be pushing my luck too.
Oh my I am waffling a bit today aren't I, lets get on with it then so sorry
Here is what I created over a couple of days really and finished colouring this morning
Now when I started creating this card, I was sort of aiming for a DT card, however then spotted the Simon Says Stamp challenge and a few others so changed my mind and decided to post it......................well today is my full day of crafting so will be able to make another. I popped into the Hobby House to replenish my collection of pearls, I do adore those pearls, but this lovely Prima paper stack also fell into the basket, it is Vintage and some gorgeous papers.............can see me using it a lot for the creations for Our Vintage Affair as they really are beautiful. I am waffling again aren't I.
So here is the front view
The base layer and contrast is a deep chocolate brown. Those gorgeous papers like I said above, I used a Go Kreate die to create the under layer. The lace is added to that panel and then layered onto the card. The sentiment is slid under the lace. Two tag nesties have been used and another paper from the stack to create the tab holders at the top, held in place by some lovely brads, also available at the Hobby House as are the flowers and the pearls. Marianne Creatables provide the foliage behind the diamond stickles decorated flowers.
Now the ribbon, can you see that lush brown pleated ribbon, this was a treat from Loretta, isn't it to die for, must find me a stockist of this. I added a little pearl on its end pleat, I still have a little left for another project too.
I would like to welcome my new followers and say thank you for the wonderful comments that some of my visitors leave, I love them all they are so inspirational
