Good afternoon to you all in the land of blog
Today I got to play with what I wanted to play with. I have had this stamp for some time I was lucky to buy it off Polly who had ordered it twice by mistake. Lil Valentine Lad Luca can be purchased here in the Tickled Pink Stamps Store. Don't forget to follow the preview days here
Playing is such fun you can do what you want and add and play with so much. I decided to enter two main challenges today
The first challenge at the Pink INK Sketch challenge with this lovely sketch
and
the Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge whose theme is to use a Doily
Here is what I came up with
I created an extended easel card, using a lovely golden brown pearlescent card for the base layer and contrast and some of my favourite GCD Studio Paris Night papers. These are the papers that have the gorgeous flocked pages as well as that linen feel and look, such beautiful papers that you really do not want to cut them up.
I followed the sketch on the easel itself using a grand nestie oval for the image plate. I added some liquid pearls around the image plate and sentiment plate. The sentiment is a section of a Forever Friends stamp I have but the words were perfect so I used my good old post it notes to cover to avoid stamping the image. All the edges have been distressed and the image plate has been distressed with Tim Holtz Old paper. The ribbon is from the Hobby House and the lace from Grimsby Crafts. The flowers are a mixture of Wild Orchid, Hobby House and the local department store. The ruffled ribbon on the inner return is some more of that gorgeous ribbon sent to me by Loretta. The doily is from the Hobby House and the Marianne dies from Grimsby Crafts. I have used Platinum Stickles to enhance all the distressed edges and a little glossy accent for a few droplets on the rose. A clear glitter Sakuro pen has been used to add the detail to the heart shaped box he is holding.
I have used a Prima clear stamp to add some second generation stamping around the image plate and sentiment plates.
The inner return sentiment is from My Sentiments Exactly and the little leaves are from a nestie sprig.
I added a little stickles to each flower too.
The image has been coloured with copics.
I would like to welcome all my new followers and wish you all well in my 200 follower candy. If you have not entered this yet you can find it here.
