Flash Back with Moving Along with the Times

Good morning to you all in the land of blog

A few days ago I started my Paul McKenna lose weight, not just because the Well Woman clinic told me I was over weight (everyone has laughed at this bit) but because I in myself would like to fit into the numerous suits I have for work in my wardrobe.  I do this sort of every two to three years and today, I woke up feeling like a new woman. On top of that had the hair done so the grey has gone again..............................

At Moving Along with the times this week, they want us to Flash Back to a previous creation, one that was special to us, maybe our first won challenge.......................

So I decided to join in with this one, seen as I am having a flash back to a more youthful me :)

I chose this creation, now the photo is no where near as good as it could be but it is special to me as I got to create something with my sister on it, and use lots of interesting bits which remind me of her.  As she has just gone back to Zanzibar I thought that this was quite fitting

It is a layout which was originally entered into the Let's Get Shabby Challenge.  Not sure what the theme was now, but this is all about the sun, see and sand that my sister has lots of.  The base paper is from K & Co Blue Awning, with another of the papers for the circle.  I remember this prior to the grand nesties, and cut out the circle with a plate and scissor.  I added feathers all around the circle to represent the froth on the crests of the waves and then all the little shells for the beach.  The blue/turquoise pretty lace at the top for the sea colour and the floral array to add some little extra detail.

Here are some close ups
My sister on the sand (look at the cute flip flop, hanging off the twirled craft wire)
My sister in the sea, mmmmmmmmm some faux stitching and pretty lace :)
My sister in the last rays of the sun with those flowers and another little copic coloured flip flop.
Here is the sea lace, it fitted so well, with the home made out of beads, hat pin threaded through it.
I loved creating this and still love looking at it now, I showed Jo it whilst she was here and she loved it too.

Perfect memories and a fabulous flash back for me

Don't forget to pop and take a flash back to

Hugs and enjoy the rest of your day, guess where I am off too, yep to play with my airbrush system
