Good morning to you all in the land of blog
well even though it is my extra day off today, I still got up at the crack of dawn, to get on with the household chores, oh OK, blogger posts got in my way and just had to read them and then reply to comments JUST HAD TO!!!! honest, so then moved on to make a card...........................so still have the ironing to do, have just left something drying so will post this and do some ironing in between crafting............sounds good don't you think??
Anyway before I move on I got a right happy feeling this morning when I read the Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge winner post................................yep that would be me, so have to say thank you to the lovely ladies, BUT WAIT, I went down a post and last weeks winner at Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge had been redrawn........................yep that would be me again, felt so cheeky but absolutely thrilled to bits so a BIG THANK YOU to Kellie and her fabulous team. So now you can see why the smile on my face was ear to ear :)
So now I can move on to what I created still smiling as you can imagine, so here is what I made this morning and I started with the sketch at Midnight Madness although I rotated mine
and felt that as it was the time of remembrance and that I really wanted to enter the current House Mouse challenge that I would try to combine all three and then some including Simon Says Stamp Photo Inspirational
So here is my unusual creation for today
I have made a House Mouse Thank you card. The base layer and contrast is a pale grey to ensure that the lovely poppy paper with white background stands out. The twine tied ribbon from Grimsby Crafts was yellow and wanted to use this a greenery behind my hand made poppies, so air brushed it with YG25. The image has also be edged in R39 via the air brush it really does give such a soft edging. Here is a close up of my favourite little critter coloured as always in copics with a little clear glitter sakuro on the stamps. Made the stamp flowers into poppies too :) ish
Think he went just a tad over the top with the stamps lol xx
Now if you have not noticed, although I am sure you have my new 600 follower candy has been posted and you can enter this here . I would like to welcome all my new followers and wish all my followers luck in the 600 follower candy.
As always and very importantly I would like to say thank you to all my wonderful visitors who take the time to leave such inspirational comments on my blog, allowing me to hop back over to see your own beautiful work. THANK YOU!!

Kate I am so sorry, I meant to answer your question on my last comment here and completely forgot! I have a sieve for a head! About the glue gun....most glue guns do leak a wee bit, particularly if you keep them on there wee stands. For some reason the stands make the glue gun slant downwards which is a major design flaw in my opinion! Its a simple thing to fix! Mine does leak a wee bit too so instead of keeping it on a downward slope I usually use the stand to prop it up against something so the nozzle is up a bit more, either parallel to the desk or up a bit higher. I find it doesnt leak as much. Gravity wont let the glue leak as much if the nozzle is not sloped downwards. But the glue shouldnt be pouring out of the glue gun continuously. If it is, you may need a new glue gun. Sorry for the long reply! Hope this helps. Lee xx
ReplyDeleteGreat take on the theme Kate, love the poppys.
