Good morning to you all in the land of blog
Today is the day to remind you of that
ROSES
themed challenge at the
and here is my inspirational piece
but before I move on let me remind you of that prize
you have until the
30th October @ 5pm to enter
so do hope you will join us.
so here is my piece
originally an MDF creation from the Hobby House at a bargain of £4
I gave it a couple of coats of gesso, a layer of gold, a blast of white and then a good layer of crackle and voilà. I then edged with my TH DI Walnut and then added all my gorgeous Hobby House embellishments, including those fabulous ROSES :)
here are some more photo's for you on close up
The Roses - now if you wonder how I get them all to sit so nicely, do visit my tutorial page where there is a link to the video :) enjoy
In this photo you can also see the little charm bird and the bird cage and part of the adventure tag.
Here is the full adventure tag a snippet of the cameo on it's pretty base and part of the pearl flourish.
Just so you can see I did paint and distress it all :)
The sentiment, this was created for a lovely lady who hit 50 and her partner is taking her to New York, so the congrats is for the 50 and the best for her is definitely to come!! the little bird and another travel related charm joins the decorative oval nestie.
and just to finish off those roses again after all they are the challenge theme :)
