Vintage Memories meets Hobby House Floral Frenzy

Good morning

Today is my day to inspire you to enter in the

Current Challenge of

Roses

but before I move on I just have to tell you about this special offer perfectly suited to our months theme.

The Hobby House Mulberry Roses Selection Box
There is a 33% discount on the price
so do hop over and take a look.

With that in mind I am sharing with you a creation I made for a close friend for her daughters Christening, to help her keep safe all those wonderful gifts and cards.

I have to apologise as this will be photo heavy, and I would like to thank the wonderful Steve for his professional help in the photography of this exceedingly large book box.

This book box was that big I could not use 12 x 12 papers on it, so listening to my special friend Polly aka Artfulwings from our Design Team, it was about time I showcased some of those techniques that I don't always get around to playing with.

So here we go

this is the arty view showing just a little of the sides
Now the papers that did not fit that were ordered special for this were put to good use else where, so I had to create my own papers.  I ripped up an old book, tore it pieces and distressed all the edges prior to adding to my MDF base, now the MDF base also came from the Hobby House and these are available currently in the shop only.

This shot show the guilding flakes on my clock die and the crackled sepia image of Lillia, so cute.
You can also see a little teddy there, these Hobby House charms are so beautiful.  The cameo and surround can just be seen in the left bottom corner.

Now without being rude this one shows the antique little door knob and some of that gorgeous frantage, I added a little lace from my stash.

This one shows those gorgeous florals, with the little clock peeking out of the flowers on the bottom left and on the right from my friend Sam a little bottle vile with cork lid filled with gold glitter for that magic touch and just underneath a lovely open heart from the Hobby House charm collection. If you click on this image you can get a close up of the prayer.  Footprints in the Sand, I love this :)

A close up here of the plaited ribbon the little bird nestled within the flowers and a better view of the little clock.

Here is another little bird nestled in the flowers and the little bird cage just peeking out at the bottom of the flowers too.
The fine spray over the flowers is CC gold glitter lacquer.

and finally I suppose one last straight on view
A long job but oh so worth it - hope you like it.

So those Hobby House products :)
The brown, beige, cream and whites from
