Happy Birthday

Good afternoon

I have had a lovely weekend crafting and other than getting on top of my DT requirements I also managed to create a birthday card for an up and coming birthday on my list.  It is so cold here at the minute but no snow just frost that stays all day.

I decided I like the theme on SSS Wednesday and very rarely get to enter so here is what I came up with 


I used one of my create and craft scallop card blanks and some white card which has been coloured with one of my new distress inks, I made it stronger at one end and lighter towards the bottom to meet the challenge theme.  I then added a layer of sprayed glitter for sparkle and shine, a frame made from Sue Wilson's piereced square dies.  I cut an image out with my silhouette and stamped the sentiment in jet black.  Very CAS for me, so I added some bling string around the frame.

    Wow Kate, this CAS is just wonderful!! So different from your usual style, but really stunning! Love so much the clean design with this delightful ballerina that gives the wishes on her hand!! Fabulous inked background (abandoned coral distress ink?) and the sprayed glitter looks great!! Love also the black string of blings on the white space around the frame!
