The base colour and contrast is cream which in places has been covered with my new favourite stash fran tage.  The papers are from Grimsby Crafts and are Kanban.  I have used my nesties, a variety of them, my MS doily edge punch and the big heart too.  A large doily and lots of distress ink in walnut. Finished off with lots of flowers from my stash, little tag, flower die cut, a charm a cameo, strings of pearls and pearls which in the main come from the Hobby House.

Kewpies for A Christening Card - How Perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning to you all
I have for sometime admired from a distance, due to the lack of time in my busy life, the gorgeous images from Nicecrane.  I have been asked several times if I would colour up some of the images, and been honoured to be provided some for free, but time did not allow me to play.  So I watched from afar, viewing those gorgeous images from the wonderful creations on
Catherine's blog
and the fabulous
Wenche's blog
and also from
which is always full of gorgeous inspiration.

But now I am on my holiday's so I had already got some of the gorgeous images printed off and ready to colour up, but was surprised the other evening when Ignacio Molina Gomez the digital artist, posted his new Nicecrane images to my facebook wall, such cuties and with the most perfect name.
Kewpies by Rose O' Neill.
We chatted for a little while and I agreed to colour up some images during my break.

So here is the first and I just know that you are going to fall in love with them!!
I know gorgeous, cute, sweet and all of that slushy stuff that we love.
Oh and before I forget and you have to ask me here is where you can find these

 and many more gorgeous images.

The base layer on this one is cream, aged with TH distress ink "walnut", it gives a softer distress colour than the vintage photo. I added some lovely Kanban papers from Grimsby Crafts and then all those lush embellishments.  The dies are the banner and the hearts the nesties the grand oval small smooth and the elegant oval large.  The sentiment "Woodware" is a normal smooth oval with the elegant smaller oval.  The MS heart punch and then that never ending list of gorgeousness (if that is a word) from the Hobby House
Pearls, Pearl flourishes, lace, ribbon, charm, fancy button and the fran tage that is currently not yet on the web page sorry it is only available in the shop at the moment.

I really loved colouring up the image and also making this card, think it is going to be one of my all time favourites.  The image is coloured in copics
E43, 42, 41, 40, E53, 51, 50, E13, E11, E01, E00 and R89, 85, 83, and 81

There are some new images also due out here is the preview

Embossing with the House Mouse and Friends Design Team

Good morning to you all in the land of blog

Today sees the next challenge

at the

with the theme of

Embossing

being hosted by the super talented and awesome boss America

Now I don't do much Wet or Heat Embossing so when I saw this challenge theme, I have to admit I did panic a little, however after a few days of thinking the only thing I fancied doing was some cracked glass effect, if you have not done this it is so easy, so long as you warn people that it is in your freezer or fridge.  You basically create your image, coat it in embossing powder and heat it all up, three times does the trick, before placing it in your fridge or freezer.  After a little while you take it out, crumple it up a little, and add your distress ink colour all over, before buffing it off again and that is it, just perfect for me, anyway here is my inspirational piece, but do hop over  to the main challenge site to see the rest of the amazing inspiration from my sister meeces :)

I made a thank you card.

The base colour and contrast is a soft pink card, I have used some pan pastels to colour up my lace and the ribbon/banner sentiment.  I have created a ruffle of ribbon, used my MS daisy punch and a fancy metal corner detail.  The lace, corner detail charm, pearls and ribbon are from the Hobby House.

Here is the close up of the image coloured in copics and with the cracked glass effect.

Do hop over and join us for the challenge :)
Don't forget, you too may submit your House-Mouse, Gruffies and Happy Hoppers creations directly to THE Official House-Mouse Designs site found HERE!

Grimsby Crafts Colouring Class - Easel

Good morning to you all

On Saturday afternoon after what seems to be like half a years break to adjust to my new job, I finally ran a copic class. It was great to see all my wonderful classy mates and some new ones.  Had a great catch up but here is what I made for them to follow in the class.

The colouring technique learnt was the background colouring, as so many of them now are shining with their own colouring and a different way of texturizing fur.

So here is the card
with one of the many fabulous images from this range, sold at Grimsby Crafts.

The base layer is black, with red and grey papers from the shop.  Beautifully set off with this gorgeous red with black polka dots ribbon tied in a triple bow, also from Grimsby Crafts.  I love her new range of bling, this jet black set has some tiny stars which are so pretty.

I used one of my nesties for the easel return sentiment and the sentiment is one of my old ones but it just sorted of fit the image.

The image fully coloured in copics.  Using a very limited colour palette.
E31, 33, 35, 37
R81, 85
R59, 29, 27, 22
W7, 5,3,2,1,0
C7, 5,3,2,1,0

A warm welcome to my new followers, and I would like to thank all of my wonderful visitors who take the time to leave me such inspirational and kind comments, and this then allows me to hop on over and visit you in return.

Ding Dong Merrily on High with the Winter Wonderland Design Team

Good morning to you all in the land of blog

Today sees the next challenge at the

with the challenge this week hosted by the very wonderful Lisa, the theme this week is

Ding Dong Merrily on High
Bells to you and me :)

and our wonderful sponsor is
who are offering a £10 voucher

Here is my design team inspirational piece, now my mind went blank for a few days as I don't have any bell images as such except this tiny one, so decided to Google an image and cut out my own bell, I made this into an easel and love how it turned out, although the fun occurred whilst the photography was happening as white on white just did not work, so have done two for you, hope you can see it all right, and don't forget to hop on over and see what the rest of the amazing team have created to inspire you.

So here is the card on the white background, where you might lose the outline a little

I embossed the sections of the card, and then cut a smaller bell and embossed this too.  I then added the image and return sentiment before adding those all important German glass glittered poinsettias, which I got from the Hobby House last year.

and here on the black background to show the outline

Hope my images don't put you off trying this design yourselves :)

A warm welcome to my new followers, and I would like to thank all of my wonderful visitors who take the time to leave me such inspirational and kind comments, and this then allows me to hop on over and visit you in return.

Here are some close ups
the inside to match with another computer generated sentiment.

The computer generated sentiment (photography is a little blurry on this one sorry)

a close up of that gorgeous elegant button, gold trim and lush opal like pearl in the centre.
