A little bling at the top under the Wild Orchid Flowers.

Easel does it with the Emerald Faerie Garden Design Team

Hi all in the land of blog
Today sees the next fabulous challenge at the

and the theme this time around is

Easel Cards

For my inspirational piece this time I went with a Mother's Day Card, but don't forget to hop on over to the main challenge blog to see the rest of the design teams inspirational pieces.

This is an 8 x 8 inch easel for a very special Mother and uses some lovely steam punk papers from Grimsby Crafts (the ones that were not in my candy) I matched these with the bright orange paper and some lovely golden/brown/gold ribbon wrapped around the double doily punched side pieces.  The pearls are from the Hobby House but these have been coloured with E43 to match the creation.  The flowers in the main are from Wild Orchid Crafts, white flowers, coloured with Tim Holtz distress ink "Antique Linen" the image plate has been distressed with this also, and over stamped with a lovely flourish stamp. The sentiment is by MSE and the return verse is from a lovely set again from Grimsby Crafts.

Here is a close up of the verse

and here is a close up of the Emerald Faerie Garden Image called
"Ebony"
available from the link on the challenge site
she has been coloured in YR's, Y's and E's copic ranges with a little clear glitter sakuro on her wings and a white gel pen for the highlights on her legs.  Hope you can see the little glitz of platinum stickles on the scrolls on the image plate too.

As always I must say thank you to all my wonderful followers and visitors who leave such kind and inspirational comments, which allow me to hop over and visit you in return

Wild Rose and Papermania Papers At Grimsby Crafts and Fabulous News

Good evening to you all in the land of blog
Today I am showcasing one of the new Wild Rose Images and a Wild Rose Sentiment along with some more of those lovely Papermania papers from Grimsby Crafts.

However, I have had to hijack my own post to tell you my Fabulous news.
After a really hard day at work I came home to loads of wonderful e mails, comments on today's HM card, but slotted in there quite quietly was an e mail from ..........................................
..............................................................
okay cannot hold you in suspense any longer
Krista, the uber talented artist of the
Saturated Canary Images
if you remember this image
you might now know why I am so excited.
I along with numerous other's left Krista a comment on images we would love her to draw
I was one of those lucky to be selected.
I cannot show you my image although it is just perfect, as the Design Team at
Saturated Canary Challenge Blog
are going to be showing you them soon.
But Krista said I could tell you all my news
but keep watching I am sure they will all be out soon
and
Thank you so much Krista, thrilled!!!!!!!!

Okay so back to the original task at hand, if you have not been in the Grimsby Crafts store for a while, make sure you either empty that piggy bank or take your flexi friend, as there are so many new things in the store that it is so hard to leave empty handed.

Everything on this card can be purchased within The Grimsby Crafts Store

So here is what I came out with
The base layer is some pale blue card stock and this is also the contrast. The pearls have been coloured with copics, and the image plate and sentiment has been edged with Tim Holtz shattered glass.

The image has been coloured in copics, isn't he so cute and the balloons have a layer of glossy accents on them, so they shine :)
I would like to thank all of my wonderful visitors and followers for the lovely and inspirational comments you leave, which allows me to hop on over in return to see your own lovely work.

I would like to remind you all that my 800 follower candy is now running and can be entered here

Kenny K 50th Birthday Card meets Sketch Saturday

Good evening everyone in the land of blog
Today I have been one busy bee and hasn't the weather been lovely, but this is a card that I created for the 50th Birthday Party that I went to last night, where we had a lovely time.

I decided to follow the sketch at Sketch Saturday
worked perfectly with all the bits I wanted to add, including the charm :)

So here is what I created
This is an 8 x 8 inch card with black as the base layer and contrast.  The papers are some more of those gorgeous Papermania Papers from Grimsby Crafts.  I added lace under the double edged heart punch work and some little bows.  The flowers are from in the main Wild Orchid which have been airbrushed as has the image and sentiment plate with R83.  The pearls are from Grimsby Crafts as is the Sentiment which is  a Personal Impressions.

Here are some close ups
The flowers
and the image coloured in copics, with the boots, knickers and glasses having a high gloss finish from glossy accents. Although you cannot really see this from the photograph.

I would like to thank all of my wonderful visitors and followers for the lovely and inspirational comments you leave, which allows me to hop on over in return to see your own lovely work.

I would like to remind you all that my 800 follower candy is now running and can be entered here
