In The Potting Shed

Good evening to you all in the land of blog
Well the weather has not been very helpful for my gardening today!!!!!! Matt went of fishing early and left me to potter, I did plan on hitting the grass, well not literally but with the lawn mower, strimmer and if my luck and the weather held the scarifier too.  Unfortunately this did not happen, maybe tomorrow will be a little kinder.

I spent the morning in my floral art mode, can't show you what I made or how it was made, as know that the person it is for watches my posts on Facebook, so sorry you will all have to wait, but wow I think the wait will be worth it - keep watching

I then finished off a few half done cards and started quite a few more :) whilst watching the horrid weather.    The card I am showing you today was made a couple of weekends back, but it could be me tomorrow if that little yellow ball appears in the sky. (For those of you who have no idea what I am going on about (you will be in the UK) as we have not seen it for that long now, we have forgotten what it is - THE SUN...............................hope it can here me)

This is an 8 x 8 inch 55th Birthday card for some one who loves gardening, it was an order and was told she likes Whisky (don't we all) and gardening (yes I do too when I get the opportunity)

So here it is in detail
The base layer is a deep green and this is also the contrast.  The papers are from a lovely stack I got from Grimsby Crafts.  The little flowers are from the local department store.  The twine wrap is from Lidl.  The pearls from the Hobby House.  The butterflies are Cheery Lynn dies and the image is Mo Manning called Eileen1.  The butterfly bodies are liquid pearls in the pale green. The sentiment computer generated and hand curled.

Here is the image coloured in copics and just look at those fabulous marigolds, keep up..................................... the ones on her hands not in the pot :) as they are roses!!

I would like to thank all of my wonderful visitors who take the time to leave me such inspirational and kind comments, and this then allows me to hop on over and visit you in return.

I would like to enter this creation into the following challenge

I managed to get out into my garden and planted out my runner beans. They are SO late this year.I hope you have more luck with the weather tomorrow and the forecast is warmer for next week, hooray!

Such a lovely card Kate.

Over here (the netherlands) we had our very first nice and sunny day since months. I've heard from a couple of crafting friends from the UK how bad it was over there. I hope you will have some sunshine too, soon!

Hugs karin xx
