Christmas Teddies New Release by Wild Rose Studio

Good morning to you all in the land of blog
Now many of you may have wondered why I was not showing you any new releases, even though the other members of the Design Team were, and that is because my parcel went AWOL.  It might have something to do with the postie who informed me yesterday when delivering another parcel that she did not have her glasses on.........................some one somewhere may be either thrilled with some freebie images or are totally confused with their parcel!!!!!

Anyway after all the delay and thanks to Matt at Wild Rose Studio for my super speedy special delivery 2nd parcel, I stamped up those fabulous new images and set to work colouring them up, whilst watching X Factor last night, so here is my first card from the recent new releases from Wild Rose Studio, called Traditional Xmas

Let me introduce to you Christmas Teddies
I made an easel card and one of my new nestie dies to show case these cuties, along with some gorgeous papers from Bearly Mine which pick up the pinks, rose and aqua colours, so I followed these colours to create my card.  I used the MS snowflake punch, some ribbon from Hobby House, a little button, some roses original off white from Wild Orchid Crafts, these have been airbrushed in RV06.  Some fabulous silver wire twisted around a tent peg from Crafty Ribbons, some snowflakes from the local department store. Tiny pearls and a snowflake charm from the Hobby House and some aqua bling from their too. All topped off with some stickles on their fluffy bits and the flowers.

The return sentiment is from Personal Impressions at Grimsby Crafts
the edge has been distressed using TH inks

and here they are in all their glory
The colouring on the bears is using the technique I taught at my recent Grimsby Crafts copic class, the dotty filling, it makes them look textured and fluffy.

If you want to see more of the Wild Rose Studio collection or be inspired by others hop and see us on

DT call for Joanna Sheen -It's choosing time :)

Morning all, thank you for hopping to see, me if you are looking for my House Mouse post, please scroll down :)

Today I would like to show you my creation for my entry to the Joanna Sheen Design Team Call

The call is on a suggestions on favourites, so do hope you all take a minute to hop over and check out all the entrants and choose who you think should be on the Design Team

Remember you only have 1 week to comment so do hope you will hop, there is going to be some wonderfully talented creations to choose from.

The very talented Paula sent out the papers and image to be used by us all and again to see how we all create so differently.  So my card is as always for a purpose and that purpose is Matt's mum's birthday, she is into her gardening big style so I made a gift card with these lovely papers and the gorgeous decoupage sheet.

As this is photo heavy I will not go on to much as the images might do that for you, so grab a coffee and put your feet up for five

This is the creation whilst closed. I made some trellis doors with creeping vines and flowers running up them.  I tied it through the eyelets with garden string, seemed the best thing to do, as ribbon just would not cut the mustard.

Once you open the gift card up, this is the left hand side with the lovely sentiment and just a peek of the inner

and the right side the writing panel

and finally the inner, now imagine the potting shed, the cupboards at either sides holding the all important garden items, the picture on the wall and not any old picture a decoupaged one no less, and on the shelf some of those lovely potted roses that you potted up earlier on in the year.

A couple of close ups, the left hand side of the decoupage looks like those seed packets fit in that slot between the pots really well.

and not sure if you can see it but the silver chain holds the picture frame up on the wall.

I thoroughly enjoyed making this over the week, here is a composition photo and then I will try explain what has been used
Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts, tinged with Tim Holtz olive distress ink.
Sentiments - nestie frames, distressed again with the olive
Cheery Lynn die for the trellis
All boxes and shelves hand made
Potted flowers from Lidl and are dolls house bits
eyelets, string and little sticky dots
think that about covers it

anyway thank you for looking and as always thank you for hopping by and leaving me some love, which means I can come give some hugs back to you.

Do please hop over to Joanna Sheen's Challenge site and

oh I am Crackers over you !!!!!

Good morning to you all

Baby Bella saw the new releases from Wild Rose Studio and shouted at me to use her before they arrived, so as I need to make ten of these, I used another of the fabulous panels to create this quick little number at an awful hour of the morning after dropping Matt off at the coach for his Jolly Boy Fishing Outing.

Although I did have a very creative early morning before Lols suggested maybe a siesta was in order and I agreed it was so put my head down, 2 hours later I surfaced, not sure siesta's are suppose to last that long but it did.

So here is one of the ten crackers you will see from now and up to Christmas, although I can see some of them having the new release Polar Bears on them :)

again this is not my colouring, as this is another of those fabulous panels, so quick and easy to use and simply stunning.
Recipe
Base layer and contrast is silver mirror card
Papers - Xmas Bella by Wild Rose Studio

Die cut a nestie
The ribbon from stash and the edge of the panel glittered with stickles

Here is your close up, just the one but so charming at that, I added glossy accents to the baubles and glitter to the little hat fur.

A Little Fizzy Moon Wedding

Good morning to you all in the land of blog
Yesterday I had a wonderful time running my copic class with 8 fabulously talented ladies at Grimsby Crafts. I always love the banter during the class and the time to show others some new techniques with the copic pens.

The card we made this time around was quite simple to allow time for the ladies to play with this new technique for them.

So here is the card I designed for them to follow

This is a Wedding Card

The base layer is black card with papers from the Bloomsbury collection.  The MS heart punch has been used along with the grand nestie circle and scallop and some tiny pearls.  The sentiment on the front is by Wild Rose Studio as is the one inside.  They are part of the Wedding Circles pack and can be found here

Here is a close up of the image, coloured in copics and a little Atyou Spica for the confetti.
The technique learnt was spot colouring, where other than the smaller elements of the image the actual bears were coloured purely with dots, quite time consuming but creating a really lovely furry texture look to them.

I would like to welcome my new followers and hope you enjoy what you see, and as always thank my wonderful followers and visitors for their lovely inspiring comments, allowing me to visit you in return.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges

Allsorts Challenge - Inspired by a Song (Where Getting Married in the Morning)
Unique Crafters Challenge - Anything Goes

enjoy the rest of your day

So Distressful with the SCSC and a Sad Farewell!!!!

Good morning to you all in the land of blog

Today sees the last challenge at the

with the boss lady Wendy choosing the theme of

Distressing

we have no sponsor this week and there will be no spotlight chosen card.

It has been a pleasure working with the ladies of the Secret Crafter Team and after such a long time, almost two years designing for them, the owners have decided to call it a day.

So here is what I created for your final inspiration piece, but don't forget to hop on over to the main challenge blog to check out the other fabulous creations and hope you will hop over and say your farewell's.

I of course will still be here and hope you will still hop by:)
I made an 8 x 8 inch card for a lady who is leaving my team. Rather apt for this challenge I think, although it was not planned that way.

The base layer and contrast is a deep chocolate brown.  The papers the unmistakeable and just gorgeous GCD Studio's Paris Nights, the shaping is from Go Kreate dies.  The sentiment is surrounded by gorgeous butterflies from "Wedding Butterflies" stamp set by Wild Rose Studio. I have distressed all the edges and added stickles to some, added a ribbon tied in a bow some pearls and air brushed the Wild Orchid Crafts roses with E74 copics before adding some more stickles.

Here is  a close up of the sentiment

If you want to see more of the Wild Rose Studio collection or be inspired by others hop and see us on
or in the

I would like to say hello to my new followers, and thank all my wonderful followers and visitors for their lovely inspiring comments, which allow me to hop over and visit you in return.
