A Bunny for Winter Wonderland DT and Some Blog Candy To Celebrate

Happy Easter Everyone
As promised yesterday here is the funny story around this card.

The Winter Wonderland Challenge this week is to create a card using this sketch by one of our very talented team and whilst doing so add a Bunny.  I had nothing in my stash that met this but my DH Matt said go and have a look at the Happy Hoppers (House Mouse Stamps) so I did.  This is what I found and instantly knew who the card was for.  My son Mike, hates carrots with a vengeance.  If he even sees something that looks like a carrot on his plate he throws a massive wobbler, which for a 21+ year old is hilarious.  I have on numerous occasions hidden carrots, told him it was something else etc.  Sometimes I get a way with it and sometimes I do not.  So for him I chose this stamp and created this card for him for Xmas. Can't wait to see his face when he opens this at Xmas. :))

Here is the sketch we followed
Here is the card I made
The papers here are from a very old Making Cards Magazine, the sentiment is from Whiff Of Joy, the card from the Hobby House (see where I shop), not sure where the ribbon and cord came from.

Here is a close up of the image

It did not fit on the oval, so I embossed the oval with Swiss dots and cut the image out, those good old nesties. I used some of my stickles to glitter up the edge of the image bed.

I have also entered this card into Cards for Men Challenge 7 - Humour

I wanted to say thank you to all my wonderful visitors and I have not offered any blog candy before.  I also wanted to finally celebrate my new DT position on the WW team - how fantastic, I get to keep my New Years resolution of making a Xmas card each week, no excuses now!
Here is the prize - a selection of interesting stash.  The papermania paper pad perfect for our Easter Bunny theme at WW, some lovely spring toppers, a couple of Xmas punches and stamps and some glitter to die for, all perfect for your Xmas creations at WW.

So what do you have to do?
1) add this pic to your sidebar with a link back to my blog and the closing date of Tuesday 4th May
2) become a follower of my Blog
3) leave a comment below so I can come and visit you too (and of course pick a winner)
4) Join in at least one Winter Wonderland challenge between now and May 4th - and help me celebrate becoming a WW DT member :0)
Then that's it!
The winner will be picked at 8 pm on 4th May by Random Generator so make sure you check to see if it is you - I will then post out to the winner and look forward to seeing your creations on Winter Wonderland.

Good Luck and I'm really looking forward to visiting you xx

Pop over to see Janet my team mate at WW who also is celebrating with blog candy.

Well that is all for now, as visitors due and I am going to get ready for the Easter BBQ.

Hugs and thanks to all who leave wonderful comments on my site.

Kate xx
