Shaping Up For Spring with the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge

So here is my design team inspirational piece but don't forget to hop on over to the main challenge site, to see the rest of the gorgeous creations by the team

I went with a Grand Nestie and the biggest of the lot in the scallop to make my base card, I then airbrushed this with Y08 for a soft distressed look.  I then used the smaller plain circle grand nesties for the layers.  I got to use my new Tim Holtz clock die as I though that it perfectly fitted my sentiment and used this as the surround for my spring flowers.  Little pearls from the Hobby House and little tiles from stash. The papers are Papermania Capsule Collection Mono in the Yellows and a mint green card is the contrast.

The image is of course a Penny Black available at Grimsby Crafts, here is a close up of the copic coloured image which has the softened airbrushed edges with a little fine glitter too

Here is a close up of those lovely Spring looking flowers, a mixture of Wild Orchid Crafts, Hobby Craft and the local cheap shop.  The green fronds are also from the cheap shop, will be getting some more of these.

A Little Thank you Card

Good evening to you all in the land of blog

Today I get to show you another show case card for Grimsby Crafts.  This time using some of the new in Crafter's Companion items.  The image and the sentiment. Along with some new gorgeous Kanban papers which I have to say are delicious.

I followed the sketch at Papertake and loved how this one turned out.

So here is my card

The base layer is a pearlescent black with those gorgeous Kanban papers.  The flowers, leaves and bling are from my stash.  The image is from the Paintbox Poppets collection and is called "with love" the sentiment is from the same collection.  I have used flower soft for her flora and copics to colour the image.

Wild Rose Birthday Card

Hiya to all of you in the land of blog

Today I am showcasing another of the wonderful Wild Rose Studios new images available at Grimsby Crafts.

This image is called "In the Meadow" and the papers used are also Wild Rose Studios "Floral Papers". The sentiment is also Wild Rose Studio and is from the "Little Labels" pack. The flower is hand made from a die by Memory Box called "Cherry Blossom", I have glittered this up after adding a tiny rose to the centre.  Ribbon and little pearls from my stash.

Here is my design team inspirational piece, but don't forget to hop over to the main challenge blog to see the rest of the team's awesome creations.

I made an 8 x 8 inch Male Birthday card, now as you know cards for men are not really my thing, so still ended up putting a blue feather and ribbon/bow and pearls on this creation.  The image is House Mouse "Surprise Party".  The grand nestie circles and circle scallops came out again along with a Marianne ribbon border.  The little and large dark blue pearls are from the Hobby House. The ribbon and little bow and the papers are Papermania Capsule Mono collection from Grimsby Crafts.

The image has been coloured in the BG range using four different shades and the image plate has been edged with TH shattered glass.

This is the little sweet mouse sitting in the corner.

Easter Eggs In an Easter Basket

Good evening to you all in the land of blog

(WARNING PHOTO HEAVY!!!!!!!)

You may wish to get yourself a coffee now :)

I was awoken early by a fisherman :(, however then popped to the Hobby House for  a top up and then I have played all day, whilst my dear husband fished all day :)  Obviously with the lovely sunshine, had to now and again have a rest and a coffee out in the sunshine on my patio table, not that crafting is heavy going but just because I had to get out in the sun. Fingers crossed it will be out again tomorrow as we have planned to put some bedding plants in the now weeded raised bed.

So what have I been playing at, well, some I cannot show you yet as they are for DT's but this one, I can.

I made an Easter Egg Basket.

I used some gorgeous green vintage papers from Grimsby Crafts.  The base is the largest of the grand nestie circles.  The sides are strips punched with the large MS daisy Punch.  The lace runs around the bottom of the half daisies.  The flowers and little bows and foliage decorate all around and down the handle.

The eggs well to die for, when I saw these in Lidl's just had to buy them.  They are pretty egg candles, so delicate and beautifully designed, a perfect addition to any basket :) might have to go get some more............

Vintage/Shabby Chic with the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge DT

So here is what I created for your inspiration, but don't forget to hop on over to the main challenge blog to check out the other fabulous creations.

I made a friendship card to make someone smile, even if for a brief moment :) - this was sent to a very special blogging friend :)

The base layer and contrast is cream and I have distressed all the edges with my scissors.  I have used panels of some lovely vintage papers that have a shabby chic feel to them also.  The lace is also very delicate and hides behind the image plate.  I have added two half tags from the nesties and looped a wine glass charm through the top one, a little treat for the recipient too.
