I made another 8 x 8 inch Birthday card, use these for the team at work, they come in so handy.
Base layer and contrast is black.  The papers are again from the Bloomsbury collection available at Grimsby Crafts. The feathers are from a local department store Ostrich I believe.  Pale pink on this occasion and carefully cut from the main stem and glued around the back of the base of the Go Kreate large heart.  The smaller heart has matching papers from the same stack.  Marianne dies for the floral fronds and Wild Orchid white flowers distressed with TH spun sugar. Little bow from Papermania collection.  Black pearls from the Hobby House and sentiments computer generated to suit the image and purpose of the card

Here is a close up of the all important House Mouse Image, called "Beauty Day" available here at SSS coloured in copics to match the card.

My Memories Suite Fabulous Free Software Give away and More

Good morning to you all in the land of blog

Wow have I got something exciting to share with you today, and I have been playing so excited!!!!!

A little while ago I purchased two digital scrap page kits from My Memories and tried to use these with my Adobe Photo Shop Version 4 software.  I was sort of successful, but then a couple of days ago I received a wonderful e mail from My Memories asking me (yes little old me) if I would like a copy of their software to review and get this - I get to give away another, how fabulous is that.

With this software, anyone can create digital scrapbooks, photo books, cards, calendars and gifts without having to buy expensive and complicated software programs.

Now the reason this is fabulous is that in a matter of 5 minutes I had created this, a perfect setting for my sister Jo and her Yoga, don't you think?
I remember the hours creating my last one and this one is so simple, just everything is so self explanatory but if you did struggle there are great video links to assist you, but to be honest I did not need them. I adore the embellishments so many to choose from.

So a few days on when I had more than the five minutes, I created this, you see you don't just need to use this software for scrap layouts, although considering how easy it is to use, I cannot wait to create the full album.

This is a card and the beauty of this is I can print out numerous copies exactly the same, would be fabulous for some quick Christmas cards, Wedding Stationery, Christenings and so much more!!!!  loved the full range of die cut shapes and total control of the font type, size and colour :)

What I have found is how easy it is to add the elements and had so much fun too.

I have only used two of the gorgeous scrap layout kits available at My Memories, but there are just so many more you will be spoilt for choice.

So how do you win your free copy of this amazing My Memories Suite software which is is rated #1 by Amazon and TopTen Reviews

That is quite simple

Hop over to
browse the wonderful selection of digital scrapbook kits
Select your favourite (make a note of it)
come back here and leave me a comment to tell me why you would like to win this and which your first digital scrapbook kit will be if you win

Babe Watch with Dude Time Doodles

Hi to you all in the land of blog
Today I am excited to say that I found some time to create this little number with one of my winning digi images from Dude Time Doodles and I have to say that this particular image is just oh so very perfect.

You see my son Mike, has just qualified as a life guard, so I just had to create him a card

So here is what I created
Just a small card, but perfectly proportioned.  The stripey blue paper representing the water in the pool, the chequered blue paper representing the side of the pool.  Both papers from the Papermania Capsule Collection Mono's in the blue's.  Pearls from the Hobby House, sentiments are My Sentiments Exactly (MSE).

The image of course is Dude Time Doodles - Babe Watcher and here it is in close up coloured with copics and with an airbrushed B91 sky.
just look at those rippling muscles :)

As always I must say thank you to all my wonderful followers and visitors who leave such kind and inspirational comments, which allow me to hop over and visit you in return

The angle view is so you can see that the inside has also been matched to the front.
The base layer is silver as is the contrast. The image is a Penny Black and the Sentiment is a WOJ.  The smaller of the grand nesties has been used to create the circle and it's surround.  The glitter and bling is a tree ornament that I got in the sales.  It has been trimmed down the centre with my trusty pliers and set at the side of the image.  The decoration is a turquoise glittered snowflake with clear diamanté gems.

Here is a close up of the bling

A Big Thank you Card

Hello to you all in the land of blog

Today I get to show you another commission and this one is close to my heart.  My brother asked me to create him a thank you card for the nurses on the Macmillan suite here in Grimsby.  He asked me if I could create something that represented them and mentioned the logo
I looked at the logo and picked out the black, green and white and the curl on the green reminded me of a ribbon.
So here is what I created for him
This is an 8 x 8 inch card base, with black and green layering and contrast.  The white roses velour feel paper, which I have to say is absolutely gorgeous, was such a shame to cut it.  It came from Grimsby Crafts, I have used the beige version of this before on the steam punk card not so long ago.  I used clean lines on this one and nothing too fancy.  The bow is held in place on a plinth edged with the small MS daisy punch.  The ribbon itself is a double ribbon made on the bow easy.  The black pearls from the Hobby House along with the little pale green ones in the centre of the daisies. The ribbon itself has been coloured with G07 copics to match the green card.

Here are some more photo's
from the front

A Close up on the ribbon and double bow with the double daisy punched edge

and finally the sentiment located on the internet, that is in the inside
Just about says it all :)

I would like to thank all of my wonderful visitors who take the time to leave me such inspirational and kind comments, and this then allows me to hop on over and visit you in return.

I would like to remind you all that my 800 follower candy is now running and can be entered here

I made a girlie birthday card
The base layer and contrast is a bright pink paper and the dp is from the Papermania Collection in the purples.  The image plate is the third largest grand circle with matching scallop circle.  The image plate has been air brushed with V93 as has the Wild Orchid Flowers.  The little purple pearls are from the Hobby House, the bling swirls from a recent win and the lace from the local department store.

The image
is a Saturated Canary digital image called "Craftyragamuffin" and she has been coloured in copics, with a little clear glitter sakuro for her buttons and some stitching in her mid-rift and some white gel highlights on her creased dress.

Totally Surprised

Hi all in the land of blog

Yesterday tea time, I was working my way through my lovely comments in my e mail box and came upon an e mail from the very talented Janette designer of Dragon's Lair Designs the home of Stamping with the Dragon's fabulous images.

Janette was informing me that Stamping With the Dragon had been published in Papers and Pixels, and that one of my former Design Team creations had been used in the publication.

Well you can imagine the speed, that I went here and for the price of 99p, awesome price, I purchased the February Issue and downloaded it.  Now I have never seen this e magazine before, although for 99p I am impressed with the content.  So many fabulous ideas and great tutorials, I may take out the year subscription as well, as that is not that much either.

So really just wanted to say a huge thank you to Janette and thank you to Papers and Pixels too and suggest that you take a look at this fabulous e magazine.

I also would like to take the opportunity to apologise if I am a little behind with my commenting, and I am on catch up promise, please be patient with me :)

I would like to remind you all that my 800 follower candy is now running and can be entered here

Hope this finds you all fit and well or like me improving

Tag It with the Emerald Faerie Garden Design Team

Hi to all of you in the land of blog

Today is the next challenge for the

The theme this time around is

Tag It

Here is what I created for my Design Team inspirational piece
I made an any occasion friend card, the base layer is a pale green and this is also the complimenting colour, the tags are at the top two little ones with pearls to hold them in place.  The heart edge punch has been used to create a border for the ribbon (slightly the wrong colour ribbon, but was on before I decided I hated it)  The ticket tag is from the Ticket Sentiments at the Emerald Faerie Garden.  Flowers from stash and I have used tattered rose for the distressing on this occasion.

The image is
Ally and Beeble
available
and coloured in copics.
Hope you will all hop on over to the challenge site and see the rest of the gorgeous eye candy created for you by the amazing design team

I would like to take a moment to thank all my wonderful visitors for their fabulous comments, with out you all blog land would not be the great place it is.

I would like to remind you all that my 800 follower candy is now running and can be entered here

Top Tip
When using strong copic colours, do not take the colour right up to the line, let the alcohol do that for you as you blend and add the colour instead of bleeding outside the lines it will then be retained by the lines.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges
Flutter by Wednesdays - Anything with Wings
Penny's Paper Crafting - Anything Goes
Truly Scrumptious - All Creatures great and small
Top Tip Tuesdays - Magical, Mystical or Fantasy
OSAAT - Anything Goes
hugs and enjoy your evening and have a great day tomorrow

I made an 8 x 8 inch Valentine card for my dearest hubby Matt.  The base layer is a burgundy pearlescent paper and this is also the contrast.  The papers are Kaiser.  The large heart is a Go Kreate cut onto black card.  the heart has been totally covered with little burgundy roses along with some beady frond things all from the local department store.  The edge of the heart has been edged with lace from the same location.  The return has a run of MS punched hearts with contrasting papers (negatives of the main paper) and the sentiment which is My Sentiments Exactly is on a plate of the normal nestie and it's scallop partner.  The ribbon of burgundy roses and the ribbon and bow is also from the local craft shop.
