Easel does it with the Emerald Faerie Garden Design Team

Hi all in the land of blog
Today sees the next fabulous challenge at the

and the theme this time around is

Easel Cards

For my inspirational piece this time I went with a Mother's Day Card, but don't forget to hop on over to the main challenge blog to see the rest of the design teams inspirational pieces.

This is an 8 x 8 inch easel for a very special Mother and uses some lovely steam punk papers from Grimsby Crafts (the ones that were not in my candy) I matched these with the bright orange paper and some lovely golden/brown/gold ribbon wrapped around the double doily punched side pieces.  The pearls are from the Hobby House but these have been coloured with E43 to match the creation.  The flowers in the main are from Wild Orchid Crafts, white flowers, coloured with Tim Holtz distress ink "Antique Linen" the image plate has been distressed with this also, and over stamped with a lovely flourish stamp. The sentiment is by MSE and the return verse is from a lovely set again from Grimsby Crafts.

Here is a close up of the verse

and here is a close up of the Emerald Faerie Garden Image called
"Ebony"
available from the link on the challenge site
she has been coloured in YR's, Y's and E's copic ranges with a little clear glitter sakuro on her wings and a white gel pen for the highlights on her legs.  Hope you can see the little glitz of platinum stickles on the scrolls on the image plate too.

As always I must say thank you to all my wonderful followers and visitors who leave such kind and inspirational comments, which allow me to hop over and visit you in return

I would like to remind you all that my 800 follower candy is now running and can be entered here

Embossing With The Emerald Faerie Garden Challenge Blog

Good evening to you all in the land of blog
Today sees the next challenge at the

Wet/Dry Embossing

This is a friendship card, the papers are from the Bloomsbury Collection again, available at Grimsby Crafts.  The sentiment is by My Sentiments Exactly, and this has been wet embossed with gold.

The image is a compilation of adapted Emerald Faerie Garden images with a Make it Crafty backdrop, the image has been coloured in copics.
Now as always I would like to thank all my wonderful visitors for their lovely inspirationally kind comments, which allows me to hop on back over to visit them in return.

Tag It with the Emerald Faerie Garden Design Team

Hi to all of you in the land of blog

Today is the next challenge for the

The theme this time around is

Tag It

Here is what I created for my Design Team inspirational piece
I made an any occasion friend card, the base layer is a pale green and this is also the complimenting colour, the tags are at the top two little ones with pearls to hold them in place.  The heart edge punch has been used to create a border for the ribbon (slightly the wrong colour ribbon, but was on before I decided I hated it)  The ticket tag is from the Ticket Sentiments at the Emerald Faerie Garden.  Flowers from stash and I have used tattered rose for the distressing on this occasion.

The image is
Ally and Beeble
available
and coloured in copics.
Hope you will all hop on over to the challenge site and see the rest of the gorgeous eye candy created for you by the amazing design team

I would like to take a moment to thank all my wonderful visitors for their fabulous comments, with out you all blog land would not be the great place it is.

I would like to remind you all that my 800 follower candy is now running and can be entered here

Top Tip
When using strong copic colours, do not take the colour right up to the line, let the alcohol do that for you as you blend and add the colour instead of bleeding outside the lines it will then be retained by the lines.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges
Flutter by Wednesdays - Anything with Wings
Penny's Paper Crafting - Anything Goes
Truly Scrumptious - All Creatures great and small
Top Tip Tuesdays - Magical, Mystical or Fantasy
OSAAT - Anything Goes
hugs and enjoy your evening and have a great day tomorrow

Be My Valentine with the Emerald Faerie Garden Design Team

Good morning to you all in the land of blog

Today sees the next challenge at the

The theme this time around is

Be My Valentine

I have changed the colour to suit the person that this card is going to as it is a colour favourite for her

So here is my design team inspirational piece
A Valentine's Card

Made with purple mirror card wow what bling!!!
The base layer and contrast is the purple mirror card, with papers from the Bloomsbury Pad which I purchased at Grimsby Crafts.  The frame around the image is a Cheery Lynn, yep a new addition to my craft stash. Matt very kindly poked out all the cut out bits bless him, love ya hun!!  The sentiment is sat on a nestie tag with some more of the ribbon I won threaded through it.  I have used spun sugar distress ink and a scroll stamp to edge the sentiment.

Here is a close up of the image
the image is called
Willy & Mia
and can be purchased
The image is coloured in copics as always

Now here is a slight different angle, to hopefully show you that I have decoupaged the wings and her skirt, but they are not stuck on flat decoupage but angled from the body, hope you can see it
It allows the image to be under the frame but the decoupage to be on top of the frame.

I would like to Thank all of my wonderful visitors, who take the time to leave such inspirational and kind comments on my work, which allows me to hop on over to visit you all in return.

I would like to remind you all that my 700 follower candy is now running and can be entered here

Green and Gold or Yellow with the Emerald Faeries Garden Design Team

Good morning to you all in the land of blog

Today sees the next challenge at the

with a very special theme this time around to
celebrate Australia Day on the 26th of Jan

so the theme is
"Green & Gold/Yellow"

Now although I have some fabulous friends in Australia, I am a British girl at heart, so have created a Mother's Day Card, I know just a little early but this image just shouted out for it

I have used a gold mirror card for the base layer and contrast and some gorgeous Papermania capsule mono Verde collection papers.  The flowers in the main from Wild Orchid and the pearls from the Hobby House.  Some cheese cloth has been added for the faerie feel along with some butterflies with liquid pearl bodies.

The image has, as always been coloured in copics and is a combination of two digital images and some digital text.  A little sakuro clear glitter on her wings and just a touch of white gel pen for some very fine highlights.
The image is Kayla and Twinkie with the Whimsical log from Make it Crafty

I recently purchased this sentiment from Grimsby Crafts and thought it went so well with this

I would like to Thank all of my wonderful visitors, who take the time to leave such inspirational and kind comments on my work, which allows me to hop on over to visit you all in return.

With a Flourish and a Swirl for the Emerald Faerie Garden DT

Hi to all of you in the land of blog
Today is the next challenge for the

The theme this time around is

flourishes and Swirls

Here is what I created for my Design Team inspirational piece
I made a heart shaped Wedding Anniversary easel card with a matching box

The base card is white with the black complimenting colour and some of those gorgeous Papermania Capsule Collection mono papers. The sentiments on the front and the easel return are by My Sentiments Exactly and one is sat on a nellie die and the other a nestie die.  I have used some cheesecloth under the image to soften the card and if you look really closely I have use the MS heart punch to create a pretty doily effect around the large hearts of the easel. Marianne heart dies, nestie flourishes and Marianne swirls along with lots of Wild Orchid flowers all airbrushed to match.

Here is a close up of the sentiment on the return with those three gorgeous Marianne heart dies

Here is the left side of the card and the left side of the top of the box, where I have added some liquid pearls to the top heart and flowers and ribbon to the box.

This is the right hand side of the card with the floral array and those Marianne flourishes with swirls, you can also just see the little hearts all the way around the card edges.

Here is the lovely image coloured in copics with some clear glitter sakuro for the wings
The image is Willie and Mia and can be purchased here along with many other gorgeous images

Here is a final close up of the card
Hope you will all hop on over to the challenge site and see the rest of the gorgeous eye candy created for you by the amazing design team

Christmas Green with the Emerald Faerie Garden Design Team

Good morning to you all in the land of blog
Today sees the next exciting challenge over at the

with a theme just perfect for this time of the year which is

Christmas Green

Now initially I thought I would struggle with this theme, however when I got going I really was quite thrilled with my idea, hope you like it too, quite simple but quite elegant ?
The base layer and contrast is gold mirror card and so sorry I really do not know the papers as I have so many Xmas ones.  The grand large nestie scallop and circle dies have been used along side the original sized smaller ones for the WOJ sentiment.  The pearls are from the Hobby House, the little wooden tree, glued and glittered in green.  The bow is a pull string one that I just had to add for the flowersoft gold glitter garland to run from for this fabulous digital image The Larkins - Ashton and Boo to hang from.  The original digi has only been amended slightly so that they appear to be hanging from the garland. To aid the garland in transit I also over sprayed the whole card with a gold glitter lacquer.
The image as always coloured in those fabulous copics, available from the
Emerald Faerie Garden on line store.

Please do hop over to the challenge blog and check out my teamies fabulous creations, such stunning eye candy for you :)

Ebony with Pearls for the Emerald Faerie Garden Design Team

Good morning to you all in the land of Blog
I am so hoping that this is posted in a timely fashion, being my first ever posting for the Emerald Faerie Garden Design Team, I would absolutely hate to get it wrong :)

When I got asked to join the Emerald Faerie Garden Design Team, I was screaming around the house, I adore the images and I am sure you see why as you follow my creations in the future for them.

So the new challenge is on at the

The theme is

Pearls

Now whilst considering what to create for this theme I had a friend at work that really needed to know that I was their supporting her through the loss of her mum, it is hard to understand that some people have already been in that situation and do totally understand what it is like.  As I lost my mum at the end of my teens, I therefore have total empathy for her.  After seeing her struggling and worrying, I just had to create something for her that would show her that I understood

So here is what I created for her
This is a box card, that contains tea light candles.  The candles for lighting the way.  The image is just perfect to express the computer generated sentiments, the image was created from two images of Ebony one flipped, so  facing each other.  This is me hanging in their too with her.
An MS POTP has been used to frame the whole creation.  The papers are Papermania Capsule Mono collection.  Black pearlescent card is the contrast colour.  The pearls are Prima and airbrushed in Y17.  The edges of the punched edge and the image and sentiment plates have been distressed and over stamped with Tim Holtz Mustard seed distress ink.  Flowers in the main from Wild Orchid however some are from a local department store, the lace is from my stash. Cheesecloth has been used under the layering.  A gold butterfly charm has been added at the top and liquid pearl detailing has been added around the edge of the detailed edge. A branch punch has been used for the foliage.
This is the box card opened up, the hand made tea light box has been surrounded by a gorgeous rose embossed yellow ribbon.  The sentiment is My Sentiments exactly.

here is the close up of the inner flowers and the air brushed pearls
and finally the image, don't you just love Photoshop and what it can do? The image has been coloured with copics with a clear glitter sakuro pen on the wings.
I have to say, she said,  "it was a valued keepsake, but could not open it as did not wish to get upset", she took it home to view it in private.  I now need to remember to take her some spare tea lights, as she will not open it as she would like to treasure it :) I am so pleased and know that the time it took to create it was worth every moment :) and that this little piece will help her through her tough times :)

Now don't forget to pop over and check out Team B's fabulous creations, to inspire you further

I would like to welcome all my new followers and wish you all well in the 400 follower candy.   For those of you that have not yet entered the 400 follower candy you can do so here

I still cannot believe I am at 494 followers, you guys are all amazing thank you,  if you are already follow me please don't forget to put your name in the hat :) as not many have entered so far, and would not want you to miss out

As always and very importantly I would like to say thank you to all my wonderful visitors who take the time to leave such inspirational comments on my blog, allowing me to hop back over to see your own beautiful work. THANK YOU!!

I just have to say thank you to the design team at Crafty Card-makers, for choosing me as one of their top five, here is my original submission
