1st Birthday Card with Teddy and Mouse by Wild Rose Studio

Good morning to you

Today is my day to share with you some

Inspiration

This image I coloured up on one of my relaxing evenings - this is where I sit and colour just because I can and I do love colouring all the Wild Rose Studio images up

so here is

I made a birthday card for a very special little girl
The base layer is cream as is the contrast and the papers are sort of a pinky / salmon colour out of one of my old stacks of paper (sorry the name escapes me) but I got them from Grimsby Crafts.
I used my double heart MS punch and made a layer to present the image on, before I added all those gorgeous embellishments which in the main are from the Hobby House (link in the side bar) The ribbon, roses, pearl medallion and little charm can be found on the website.
The sentiment is my Just-rite stamps and personalised.

Here is a close up of the image coloured in copics
with that  fur technique

Building a Snowman

Good morning to you

Today is my day to share with you some

Inspiration

I do love all of the images by Wild Rose Studio and do struggle to choose which to do next, but I am in Christmas mode at the moment so decided to go with

I went with a soft pastel look
The base layer and contrast is a dusky pink.  I added some of my old papers and then some lovely white die cuts and some embossed white for the ribbon wrap around.  Adding some bling from the Hobby House those gorgeous tiny rhinestones, the dotty pink ribbon and a small white poinsettia.

The sentiment is
Wild Rose Studio - Christmas Circles

Here is a close up of the image coloured in copics with two different types of stickles, diamond and frosted lace.  The diamond is for the snow the frosted for the fluffy bits

so here is my piece
originally an MDF creation from the Hobby House at a bargain of £4

I gave it a couple of coats of gesso, a layer of gold, a blast of white and then a good layer of crackle and voilà.  I then edged with my TH DI Walnut and then added all my gorgeous Hobby House embellishments, including those fabulous ROSES :)

here are some more photo's for you on close up
The Roses - now if you wonder how I get them all to sit so nicely, do visit my tutorial page where there is a link to the video :) enjoy
In this photo you can also see the little charm bird and the bird cage and part of the adventure tag.

Here is the full adventure tag a snippet of the cameo on it's pretty base and part of the pearl flourish.

Just so you can see I did paint and distress it all :)

The sentiment, this was created for a lovely lady who hit 50 and her partner is taking her to New York, so the congrats is for the 50 and the best for her is definitely to come!! the little bird and another travel related charm joins the decorative oval nestie.

Carol Singing with the Winter Wonderland Design Team

Good Morning to you all in the land of blog
Before I move on I have to apologise for the lighting on my photography, don't you just hate that shift to darker evenings - takes me ages to adjust my little light area :)

Today brings the next challenge at the

the theme is hosted by our very talented Kelly of the Icicle Team and it is

Carol Singers

Our fabulous sponsor this week is

who are offering the winner a £10 voucher

So here is my design team inspiration but do hop over and check out the fabulous creations by the rest of team Icicles.
This is the only angle I could get a good photograph of the colours on the image, it is an 8 inch square card so big too.
The gold surround creates such a reflection for the light :(
I was going for a vintage feel

So the base colour is gold mirror card and the papers are that old I do not know the name of them, but I am trying to use up my old stash.  I used the Holly MS edge punch some ribbon from stash and the little white poinsettia, red large pearl and gold small pearls all from the Hobby House

Here is the image which is from Mo Manning
