A Little Fizzy Moon Wedding

Good morning to you all in the land of blog
Yesterday I had a wonderful time running my copic class with 8 fabulously talented ladies at Grimsby Crafts. I always love the banter during the class and the time to show others some new techniques with the copic pens.

The card we made this time around was quite simple to allow time for the ladies to play with this new technique for them.

So here is the card I designed for them to follow

This is a Wedding Card

The base layer is black card with papers from the Bloomsbury collection.  The MS heart punch has been used along with the grand nestie circle and scallop and some tiny pearls.  The sentiment on the front is by Wild Rose Studio as is the one inside.  They are part of the Wedding Circles pack and can be found here

Here is a close up of the image, coloured in copics and a little Atyou Spica for the confetti.
The technique learnt was spot colouring, where other than the smaller elements of the image the actual bears were coloured purely with dots, quite time consuming but creating a really lovely furry texture look to them.

I would like to welcome my new followers and hope you enjoy what you see, and as always thank my wonderful followers and visitors for their lovely inspiring comments, allowing me to visit you in return.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges

Allsorts Challenge - Inspired by a Song (Where Getting Married in the Morning)
Unique Crafters Challenge - Anything Goes

enjoy the rest of your day

So Distressful with the SCSC and a Sad Farewell!!!!

Good morning to you all in the land of blog

Today sees the last challenge at the

with the boss lady Wendy choosing the theme of

Distressing

we have no sponsor this week and there will be no spotlight chosen card.

It has been a pleasure working with the ladies of the Secret Crafter Team and after such a long time, almost two years designing for them, the owners have decided to call it a day.

So here is what I created for your final inspiration piece, but don't forget to hop on over to the main challenge blog to check out the other fabulous creations and hope you will hop over and say your farewell's.

I of course will still be here and hope you will still hop by:)
I made an 8 x 8 inch card for a lady who is leaving my team. Rather apt for this challenge I think, although it was not planned that way.

The base layer and contrast is a deep chocolate brown.  The papers the unmistakeable and just gorgeous GCD Studio's Paris Nights, the shaping is from Go Kreate dies.  The sentiment is surrounded by gorgeous butterflies from "Wedding Butterflies" stamp set by Wild Rose Studio. I have distressed all the edges and added stickles to some, added a ribbon tied in a bow some pearls and air brushed the Wild Orchid Crafts roses with E74 copics before adding some more stickles.

Here is  a close up of the sentiment

If you want to see more of the Wild Rose Studio collection or be inspired by others hop and see us on

What a Hottie!!!!!

Good morning to you all in the land of blog
Today I am showing you a card I was asked to create for a colleague, for her friends birthday.  After discussing the recipient I finally decided to go with another one of the fabulous Kenny K images, which fits the 50 sentiment I have so perfectly and will suit her not Girly and humour type. I also checked out Kenny K's challenge theme this week and the colours fitted it perfectly.

So here is what I created, just got to create the box to go with it now :)
I made an 8 x 8 inch card.

The base papers and contrast are a lime green, the top paper is the one of the deeper black papers from the GCD Studios Paris Nights stacks (love this paper and it's linen feel) As it distresses so well, I distressed the edges, before adding a panel of black and white paper layered onto some more lime green that had been edge punched with the MS doily punch. Although you can see the lace under that panel, I sort of hid the panel with a copic coloured YG25 sheer ribbon, which I tied in a triple bow, and then added a gift from my birthday last year (thanks Janet, I tried so hard not to use it, but eventually I had too)  The image is stamped onto a grand nestie circle with the scallop frame.  The edges of the image plate have been distressed with TH crushed olive and over stamped on a second stamping, in the same colour. I added little black pearls around the image frame and some tiny diamante on the swirls of the image before adding some distressed roses.  Roses from Wild Orchid Crafts and pearls and bling from the Hobby House.

Here is a close up of the image, hope you can see that I added clear Atyou glitter over the boots, knickers, arm bands and bangles along with the hat, before adding some glossy accents to the glass in the goggles, the boots and the bangles.  Wow would kill for a pair of heels like those, wouldn't you. (Would probably kill myself walking in them and the husband might get the wrong idea)

and here is a close up of the triple tied copic coloured ribbon / bow with the large lacy silver heart charm just tucked under the centre knot.

I hope she likes it :)

I would like to say hello to my new followers and thanks for putting up with me to the rest of you, thanks for all your inspiring words and for leaving comments so I can come hunt you down :)

I would like to enter the following challenges

Kenny K's Krafty Crew - Black, White and One

LEJ - Sparkle and Shine (please read above how)
