Congratulations on Your Engagement

Good morning to you in the land of blog

Today's creation was a commission for a new client who requested a non flowery, teddy related engagement card.

So here is what I made, with it's little matching box.
It has been a while since these cuties have been out but thought they were perfect for the requirement.
Here is the card on it's own in different lighting so you can hopefully see the glitter on her dress and headband and the tiny rhinestone bubbles from the clinking glasses :)

The base layer is cream with Wild Rose Studio - Wedding Bells papers (an oldie but a fabulous goodie stack) and just perfect for this creation.  The image is a Di's Digi which  I have had for ages and have coloured up in copics.  The hanging hearts are Memory Box, the sentiment is Wild Rose Studio - Wedding Circles, sat on a nestie ribbon / banner that has been edged in TH old paper and then curved to raise from the card.  I used the MS single heart edge punch at the bottom and then the double heart corner punch for the top corners.  I added my liberal sprinkling of pearls, a little charm, a heart medallion and ribbon all from the Hobby House.  I used a little heart embossing folder behind the bears which is a nestie heart and scallop heart matching pair.  This has also been edged with Th old paper.  Everything is lifted with pinflair for added depth.

A warm welcome to my new followers, and I would like to thank all of my wonderful visitors who take the time to leave me such inspirational and kind comments, and this then allows me to hop on over and visit you in return.

Special Birthday Celebrations

Good morning to you
Today I am showing a birthday card made for a very special and talented lady, along with a lovely photo of those who attended for a belated surprise birthday party.

The card is similar to the one I posted recently, however is an 8" square card.
Again the same embossing folder, and gorgeous pearl swirl flourishes and those gorgeous golden trio mulberry roses from the Hobby House, with one of those new fancy buttons too.

and that lovely group party photo
and yes we drank all of the bottles on the table, and then her OH decided we needed more so opened the
Mojito Cocktail bottle up
here is a recipe
and yes we drank all that too

and a photo I might use for a scrap layout soon

I am enjoying my break from work and today I would like to share some more of my playing with you but do hop over to the main challenge site and check out the gorgeous inspiration from my sister meeces.
I made a Christmas Card
I sat and coloured this one up whilst tanning my not so lily white legs :)
The base layer is a card from the Hobby House, lovely shaping and I have edged it with gold from a Brilliance ink pad.  The next layer is some gold mirror card and this is the contrast too.  I then got out some of my old but much loved papers, the red, green and cream tones are all very vintage, so when colouring had to ensure that my colours were the right shade.  I added some lace from the Hobby House, unfortunately this is only sold currently in the shop.  I also added some lovely Christmas claret and gold ribbon, it is wire edged so I creased it and created a little curtain under the image.  I added some antique snowflakes and Pearls from the Hobby House along with a shapeology die and matching stamp and a little twine for the sentiment.  There is a link in my sidebar to the Hobby House shop.

If you are asking where my wet embossing is well here is the image on close up coloured with copics and a little sprinkling of fran tage, which has been heat embossed.
Do hop over and join us for the challenge :) we would love to see you there.

Fishy Birthday Card

Good morning to you all
Today I would like to share with you a card that I made for Mike to give to Matt for his birthday.  It is so hard to keep coming up with new fishing themed cards for him with new images each year and also for father's day, when there are three of them in the family that fish.

So here is what I made

I went a little mono with some fabulous silhouettes

A real easy recipe black card is the contrast and also used for the dies of the fish and I used white card, embossing the bottom layer but not the top.  The sentiment is from
Wild Rose Studio - Birthday Circles
and it sits on a Nellie Snellen circle die with a black contrast one behind.

I would like to welcome my new followers, and thank all of my wonderful visitors who take the time to leave me such inspirational and kind comments, and this then allows me to hop on over and visit you in return.

More Kewpies!!

Good morning to you all
I wanted to start by saying thank you for all your lovely comments on my last creation with the Kewpies and do hope you hopped over to the
for a peek at the gorgeous inspiration.

Today I have another card made from the same set of Kewpies, just as lovely to colour, but on this one decided to follow the sketch at

So here is what I made

It is a generic card and you can find these images here
there are many more gorgeous images in the store

The base layer and contrast is yellow with those gorgeous purple top layers.  I have used some beautiful lace that I got at the Doncaster Dome, when I was on some retail therapy and the nestie is one of the newer grand decorative ovals.  The pearl flourishes, tiny tiny and tiny pearls (look closely at the sizes as the tiny tiny ones are great value and you get so many of them) the cherry blossom and Pearl Medallion are all from the Hobby House.  The yellow ribbon is from Grimsby  Crafts.

Here is a close up of this image

Dressed up Drink!!

Good morning to you

Today I would like to show you a little recycling and a little playing all in one, I am loving my current play time, so many ideas, that I have been waiting to try.

I decided to have a play with my copic airbrush system again, to create this altered tin.

I sprayed with primer the little tin, and then airbrushed it with a variety of yellow copics, darker at the bottom and then lighter towards the top.  Over this I placed my favourite lace (that has been coloured up so many times before with my spraying) I over sprayed this with YG94 and then removed the lace.  I then used one of my brown ink pads and an old sentiment stamp and I rolled the tube over the sentiment carefully back and front, all of this before I then adorned it with some gorgeous embellishments see below as they are all Hobby House products except the ribbon which is from Lidl.

Hobby House products used are:
(Lace from shop only)

Here are some different views

Here is what I started with - I used a Nellie Snellen circle die to create the top and bottom

A Little Black Number!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and Candy Winner

Good morning to you
Today I would like to show you a LIM card, I know not my norm, but I have for sometime wanted to join in with those fabulous CAS ladies, who are so restrained with their embellies, it puts my LIM cards to shame.

and don't you just wish you owned these!!

My interpretation on this image may not look as good
The image on this one is from OLLB
and I made a notelet
not much of a recipe
black and white card and the digital image and three rhinestones and some stickles (that you cannot see on the photo, such a shame as looks really pretty)  from the Hobby House and a MSE sentiment :) Simples!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and now to that candy winner, I used mr random to pick my winner and he chose
congratulations Cathy, if you would like to mail me here with your address, I will get your WRS stamp out to you.

I would like to thank all of my followers and recent visitors for your wonderful and inspiring comments, please do leave me a comment if you pass by as I do like to return the favour, thank you :)
