Here is my design team inspirational piece, however don't forget to hop on over and see what the rest of the amazing team have created to inspire you.

I made another Nellie Snellen image card :)

I used some dusky pink card for the base layer and the pink pages of those wonderful Me To You Christmas papers.  The edges have all been distressed and the base layer has been edged with a little watered down gesso.  Now I got a wonderful gift from the very talented Paula before Xmas and in the set was this wonderful net stuff (wedding spiders web, not sure what you really call it :( ) but I coated this with a layer of gesso too, both lots of gesso were then sprinkled with glitter and left to dry.  I  added one of the corners from Paula's lovely gift along with some ribbon a double bow and some pearls to finish off the card from the Hobby House, but then added a little flower and a charm, you know I just cannot help myself sometimes, but think it will still sit nicely in an envelope.

Here is a close up of the image, coloured in copics, with some Atyou glitter and stickles. I used a white gel pen to create the swirl on the lollipop.

A warm welcome to my new followers, and I would like to thank all of my wonderful visitors who take the time to leave me such inspirational and kind comments, and this then allows me to hop on over and visit you in return.

Masculine Birthday Card

Morning to you all

Had such a hectic start to my 2013, that I forgot to show you this quick little number that I had to make at short notice, because I almost forgot my brother's birthday in all the excitement of the changes in my life.

So here is the card that I made him, for his 50th, and I really must find me some numerical dies, as could not add the 50 that I needed too, so these are now on my ever growing wish list.
I found these wonderful papers somewhere in my old stash.  Loved the motorbike, so then remembered that somewhere also I had some fabulous motorbike decoupage sheets.  So searched for them and located them, luckily they were die cut ones so no cutting out, sheer heaven for a quick card.  I added the decoupage to the nestie and used my new MS letter punches to get his name before adding the sentiment, ribbon and those lovely pearls from the Hobby House.

As you know I don't do masculine very well but was quite pleased with the quick result.

A warm welcome to my new followers, and I would like to thank all of my wonderful visitors who take the time to leave me such inspirational and kind comments, and this then allows me to hop on over and visit you in return.

Eggcellent and some copic Altered Art

Good morning to you all in the land of blog

A little while ago I played with distress inks with my good friend Polly and some other very talented crafters. Polly said I should get dirty more and diverse from my cards more, so whilst I had some play time, here is what I did.

Apologise for the photo heavy post and will explain how I did this nearer the end of the post.

I started off with a egg shaped metal box from last Easter, recycling it.  I gave it a good couple of coats with gesso, and then scuffed this up with a sanding block.  I then got to work with my copic air brush system.  Selecting some blue violets, pinks and purples from my sketch markers, I topped them up to ensure they were all juicy and ready to go.  I then attacked the egg with my little latex gloves on, with my air brush system, creating a similar effect to that, that you would get if you used distress inks.  I then found some old pretty lace and held this over the egg and air brushed in a deep BV copic. To create the lacy look.  Then to finish off.  Decorations apart from one flower were all from the Hobby House. So that is the flowers, little bows, lace that has also been airbrushed, liquid pearls and those gorgeous pearl flourishes.

I love how this turned out, have some more altered art pieces to get on with so off to play :)

Here is a composition piece
